Andrew Miller threw 5 and 2/3 shutout innings while giving up just 2 hits to earn his 4th win of the season for the Boston Red Sox. The Sox took a 4-0 win in Baltimore, beating Jake Arrieta in the series finale. Jacoby Ellsbury nailed two solo home runs in the win while Adrian Gonzalez finally got back on track with a 4-hit game for Boston. A-Gone relifted his average to .343 after slumping pretty badly over the previous three nights. Josh Reddick kept going with his hitting, grabbing 2 hits to give himself a .378 clip, while Dustin Pedroia extended his hitting streak to 18 games with an infield single. The bullpen for Boston was 100 % perfect and garnered 3 strikeouts. Matt Albers, Dan Bard, and Jon Papelbon all worked. I hope that the Sox can keep going with their offense and pitching tonight, and I hope that A-Gone can keep hitting and drive in some more runs. Note: This win came after a 6-2 loss in Baltimore last night. However, the Yankees also lost, so the Sox remained 1.5 games ahead heading into today's win.
